Danella Williams is a Florida business and litigation attorney and the founder of Williams Taylor Law, a results-driven law firm providing fractional general counsel services, intellectual property representation including copyright and trademark transactions and litigation, and complex commercial litigation.

Danella didn’t come to the law through privilege or shortcuts — she came through pressure, resilience, and an unrelenting drive to win.

Born in the housing projects on Chicago’s South Side, Danella learned early that nothing is handed to you. You work. You fight. You figure it out. That mindset has followed her into every chapter of her life — from excelling academically as a Bright Futures Scholar at Florida International University to building businesses, becoming an All-Star semi-professional tackle football player, and ultimately a “brilliant” attorney with an “awe-inspiring” brain known for solving complex legal problems.

Danella earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Florida International University. After graduating, she completed advanced mathematics coursework that strengthened her analytical and problem-solving skills. Before law school, she spent over a decade in direct marketing and customer service roles with global brands like Red Bull and Disney, gaining hands-on business experience and insight into how companies operate and grow.

Driven by a passion for strategy and global business law, Danella earned her Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law, graduating with a Certificate in International Law magna cum laude. While in law school, she consistently distinguished herself academically and competitively. She earned First Place for Best Written Brief at the E. Earl Zehmer Moot Court Competition, won a Book Award for placing first in her International Aspects of Intellectual Property course, served on the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy, and competed internationally in Vienna, Austria at the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, where she ranked among the top third of competitors worldwide.

Her legal education extended beyond the classroom. Danella studied Chinese business law abroad in Shanghai at East China University of Political Science and Law, advised emerging and small businesses on formation, contracts, and non-disclosure agreements at a premiere start-up incubator, externed with the State Attorney’s Office, and worked with Legal Aid assisting veterans — experiences that strengthened her understanding of both business law and client advocacy.

Danella’s legal career has taken her through elite litigation boutiques, a national litigation firm handling complex commercial disputes, and a top regional firm’s technology transactions team. This diverse background allows her to serve as both a strategic business lawyer and a courtroom-ready litigator — anticipating disputes, mitigating risk, and aggressively advocating when litigation becomes necessary.

Over the years, Danella has helped secure nearly $30 Million in results for clients, representing businesses, creatives, and individuals in high-stakes copyright infringement lawsuits, music royalty disputes, trademark matters, international contract litigation, and complex commercial conflicts.

Outside of the courtroom, Danella is also an entrepreneur who has built a technology startup. She won a national pitch competition and showcased her company at eMerge Americas, one of the world’s leading technology conferences. This firsthand business experience gives her unique insight into the challenges business owners face and allows her to quickly understand emerging industries and complex business models.

Today, as the founder of Williams Taylor Law, Danella brings together her background in litigation, business strategy, and technology to deliver aggressive, results-focused legal representation across fractional general counsel services, copyright law, and complex commercial disputes throughout Florida.

At her core, Danella is a fighter — not just in the courtroom, but for her clients. She approaches every case with urgency, creativity, and relentless preparation, because she knows what it means to have everything on the line.
